not so much the frames, as they are still the same style and size BUT ya it rides a lot diff with a single crown. But I too have to adjust the 66now as I really never used it on my norco. and For the johnson, I have to adjust the dhx5.0 to make it fit my style and terrain. once I get the shock and fork dialed in they will be awsome!! and you too can have a johnson if the price is right!!!!!

Hey Buddy, Hows it ride now?? It looks great, really matches nice.
just get the 3.0 on her and it will be good to go. Now all you need is the 50/50's with green plates on them.
I'm counting down the days till I get my DT Swiss FR2350's for the Ollie.
take care

so $160 plus tax would be what $180 so your saving money still... right..... for hoops that have beenlaced and used for a half hour test ride with no marks on them.. Oh thats right lots of ppl want something for nothing these days... by bad!!

ok, to start , this is a bike site.... this kid has a bike and wants to put some picks on, what is with all the making fun? who's to know that he is not just bouncing on the back wheel and not actually doing a wheelie??? and as for the helmet shit... lots of ppl make fun and diss ppl for not even wearing a helmet, so what if he does not do fr or dh , and does not have a full face, atleast he's wearing a lid. not every one is a pro, we all start someplace. if you dont have a helping comment piss off.

you are very close on the cost of the parts... the fork was $1200, then you add the x-7 derailleurs and shifters and chain and cassette and bb and dangerboy grips and barends and headset and frame then you get your build cost and the fact that it was ridden 1 hour with the new parts... with no damage on anything,
Thanks for backing me on the price.
All i have to say is buy a frame and build up a bike of this caliber and see what it cost you. and when it's your own $$ not your parents its also an eye opener.

in 06 I got it stock for $3200, then I added the new fork, tires, rimes, grips, barends, painted the disks and shock arms, ect.... I dont think they are making the johnson anymore..... you would have to go for a Ollie, which case if you can get an 07 for better parts to start.
Cheers

a little high in the price, considering.....
I just got a NEW 07 Ollie large size for $1700 tax included.
you may want to ask 1200 max.
(not busting balls).. I also own a 06 johnson... great ride!!

wow, you dont hold back do you??? Just a little fyi.. the guy that ownes the bike is the owner of the Hub bike shop in cambridge. So maybe by never ridden he means never ridden for an actuall ride other then a test ride down town. This being said, the bike is actually better then most of the used bikes on this site as it has been look after and built up by a pro. if your looking for a norco or devinci or repairs... THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!

flag (October 7, 2007 at 11:39) (Below Threshold) show comment
the fork has 170mm on it. and yes a 05 888 would be ok as the original fork that came on the bike was a double crown dropoff triple. it is strong enough for a double crown if you wanted to go that way. and the rims are 26" or did you mean a 24??
